Guide

Time, space, imagination.  I'm not greedy: I'll share all of these with you.  You need only ask and we'll voyage where you will, I promise.

But not now.  Not, in fact, till summer comes.  For each September I enter a world far stranger than any my fancy could create.  It is called "school."

The powers that govern the school scene have long recognized the bewilderment it evokes.  Thus they issue manuals each year to both the staff and the students.  These handbooks are meant to guide the school population through the morass that lies ahead.  But visitors to the school world may also need rescue from its confusion, and for them I offer this devout help.
